The white shirt is one of that clothes that everyone (women and men)

 should have in their wardrobe. 

Is a basic item, it could make an outfit more interesting:

 sometimes more precious if you choose a silk shirt, 

sometimes the look can be more formal and rigorous and

 if you chose a shirt with some details like ruches it can be the protagonist of the outfit.

It's really easy to combine, white goes with every colors and 

a shirt look nice with a sweater, a jacket or also with a (faux) fur how you can see below!

Don't undervalue the importance of layering, during this cold period:

 a shirt under a jumper could keep you warm and you'll be cool at the same time!
